After a turbulent few months in Irish politics a general election has finally been called.  We, the people of Ireland, now have a choice to make about who we want to lead us through these challenging political and economic times.  Who do we want to be our voice for change?

With this in mind, the NUIG Literary and Debating Society in conjunction with the NUIG Law Society present ‘Galway West Election Night 2011’.  This is an opportunity to meet the candidates running in this constituency.  Each candidate will give a 5 minute speech outlining their policies and then questions will be welcomed from the floor.
